Our Philosophy
Good Looks Go A Long Way!
We believe teams should resemble a battle-tested Swiss Army knife of effectiveness. An engaged, aligned assembly of knives, tweezers, saws and (of course) corkscrews that know how to attack any number of business challenges. Often, a company's tools (i.e. individuals) look more like a kitchen drawer full of knives and forks. They can do the job, but they're not bound together by a common purpose -- a veritable multi-tool of creative problem-solving. That's where we come in.
In order to unleash their full potential as a team, groups needs to experience and celebrate one another's skills in action -- outside the office. Your teams' creativity, smarts, and problem-solving prowess are the grease that make the gears hum -- at play and at work. These skills, highlighted and polished through a half-day with The Go Game become the stuff of company legend and create meaningful bonds that positively impact a workplace. We strive to find the perfect intersection of humor, adventure and shared experience, with an eye towards lasting results. Before you know it, the knives and forks begin to fold nicely into one another.
Team-building with The Go Game is an investment that will pay long-term dividends. For just a fraction of what you pay your employees each month, your team can become a multi-tool of creative power.
Advantages
CentriNo Way!
We know it's a tough job to plan these events. There are tons of companies out there to choose from and how do you choose the right one? Here are some reasons why we think we’re the best. Whether you need to print them out and present them to a committee, or whether they’ll just help you sleep better at night, here are the top seven reasons to choose The Go Game.
Locations and Accessibility: If there’s mobile phone service, the Go Game will be there. Whether you’re planning a retreat at a Mediterranean Island, a convention center in London, or in the Danish countryside, we’ll swoop in superhero-style to run your game.
Advanced Technology: Born and raised a stone’s throw from Silicon Valley, The Go Game showcases the latest in wireless technology and equipment. We use a patented web interface, unlike our paper and text message-based competitors, allowing for more cleanly formatted text, enhanced interactivity, and easier two-way communication with our servers. We’ve run games for every major tech company out there and impressed even the techiest of tech geeks.
Scalability: Whether you’re planning an event for your ten person startup or your two thousand person sales conference, we can scale our software to optimise the experience for your players. Our game runners utilise a sophisticated and proprietary location-based tracking mechanism to monitor the game in real time and oversee the progress of every team. We can route teams to the closest mission to reduce walking time, ensure that multiple teams don’t load the same mission simultaneously, and even steer a group to the nearest pub for a drink break. Not to be all Big Brother or anything, but….we’re watching you.
Top-Shelf Facilitators: Our experienced Game Developers are the cream of the crop, the pick of the litter, and the best of the bunch. Start with a fun and talented presenter, then add one part event planner, a dash of tech wizard, a pinch of jet-setting super spy, and a sprinkle of creative genius, and you’ve got yourself a game runner.
Easy Event Planning: Once you book a game, the process can be as simple or as detail-oriented as you like. You tell us where to be and how many people are participating, and we’ll show up with equipment, trained actors, and a well-crafted and thoroughly researched game. No need to spend hours researching online or making phone calls to assorted vendors, The Go Game is a one-stop shop.
Works For Everyone: The Go Game combines creativity, human interaction and communication, photo and video missions, and sophisticated brain teasers to give all personality types an opportunity to contribute to the team. We’re like the Breakfast Club - missions are varied to reward the athlete, the brainiac, the class clown, and the social butterfly so every participant has a chance to be a star player for the team.
The Debrief: At the conclusion of the game, our facilitators are trained to teach the concepts we espouse as the core tenets of team building to bring back to the office.
It’s Really Fun. Seriously: We will aim to satisfy every one of your team building, marketing, or training goals, but we will also make sure that everyone has an absolute blast. We’ll make you laugh and we’ll make you look good. And that’s a promise.
Planning Process
Roxy 'Helping" a player
Booking: You’ll speak with one of our Producers, who will help you determine price, choose a date, select a game zone, and settle the number of teams and players. You can also chat with them about the location and level of customisation – feel free to share your vision for a game theme or we can tell you about successful ideas we’ve used in the past and how you might incorporate them into your event.
Planning: Once you’ve booked the game, you’ll be sent a contract and link to an online event plan. The event plan is a questionnaire that you’ll fill out regarding various logistical questions such as the starting and ending locations, number of players, and when you want your game to start. We take care of everything except the selection of an ending venue for the judging presentation. We’ll let you decide whether you want chips and a pint or champagne and filet mignon. You’re welcome to call your producer with any questions until you are assigned your Game Runner.
Game Runner Contact: You’ll be contacted by your personal Game Developer midway through the month before your game, unless your game requires extra customisation. From this point, you’ll work directly with your Game Runner to finalise your schedule, develop customised missions, generate trivia, and nail down any logistical questions. Although the Game Developers are usually out of the office running games, you can always contact any of us by cell phone or email with any questions about your event or just to say hi. We’ll definitely call you a few times too.
Day Of Game: We’ll show up when and where you say, with equipment in hand and looking dandy in a bright orange jumpsuit. Don’t worry, you won’t have any trouble figuring out who we are. We’ll run a spectacularly fun and engaging event, finishing up at the ending venue of your choice with a multimedia presentation showcasing the creativity and ingenuity of your group. Then we’ll pack up and head off into the sunset…
Game Followup: But don’t worry, the fun isn’t over yet. We’ll email you within a day or so with a link to a password-protected website so you’ll have access to all the photos and videos from the day. You can download them to your computer and they’re perfect for desktop wallpaper, Christmas cards, office decoration, and other assorted blackmail tactics. And the shared camaraderie and jokes will last just as long…
